The rock group, "Palaeontology", meets on alternate Thursday afternoons at Monkton Combe Village Hall. A group formed to enjoy the thrill of researching, singing and playing the exciting rock numbers of the 50's and the early 60's as originally introduced by the artistry of great performers such as :

Little Richard .... Chuck Berry .... Jerry Lee Lewis .... Buddy Holly .... The Everleys .... Elvis .... Gene Vincent .... Cliff Richard .... Marty Wilde and many others.
