Bath u3a is one of over 1000 u3as spread across the UK. Membership of Bath u3a gives you membership of the national body, known as The Third Age Trust. Besides helping local organisations run branches, it provides a huge amount of information and learning from the comfort of your own home - many people don't realise what's on offer:
Online learning, wherever you are
You don't need to leave Bath to tap into national groups. There's a packed talks programme. Anything from laughter yoga to the history of shoes on a monthly rolling programme. All for free.
There are also Subject Networks which are groups of u3a members who share ideas and resources. These are run by volunteers, usually with experience or a particular interest in the subject and seek to keep interested members updated about developments in their subject, either u3a activity, or anything of wider interest. Again, these are free to join.
The Interest Groups Online hub connects you with subjects and people from u3as right across the UK — handy if we don't run a group in your particular interest area, or if you fancy joining a session from the sofa. Please note that there is an additional charge (currently £12) to access these groups, as it effectively operates as a virtual u3a.
Read (or listen) all about it
There is a regularly updated blog providing information on the latest news and activities on offer. Or sign up to the regular newsletter. Once you've signed up, you'll gain exclusive access to the Friends Extra website - a range of offers, discounts and services.
You'll be aware of u3a matters, the national members' magazine but if you've got something to say, say it via submit your own story

If you prefer listening to reading, try the u3a Radio Podcast, a monthly programme showcasing what's happening across the whole u3a movement.
A movement, not just a local club
u3a is one of the largest membership organisations in the UK, and campaigns on older peoples issues. The Future Lives group looks at things like whether our homes will support us as we age, and has partnered with the Design Age Institute to push government on better product design. If you've ever sworn at a blister pack or a milk carton.....
