Membership Fees
Welcome! Our annual fees are shown below. Our membership year begins on the 1st October. New members joining between 1st April and 31st July pay half the annual fee. Anyone joining from 1st August onwards pays the full annual fee but need not renew until 1st October the following year. We encourage new members to opt to receive newsletters by email rather than post. It is cheaper (postage adds £30 to your annual membership fee, or £15 if you join between 1st April and 31st July), is less work for our volunteers, and is also kinder to the planet!
Gift Aid - If you are a UK taxpayer, and pay more income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of gift aid claimed on all your donations in one tax year, Bath u3a can reclaim tax equal to 1/4 of your subscription at no cost to you. Gift Aid really helps to keep your subscription as low as possible.
NB Membership includes a u3a in Bath Newsletter 10 times a year, plus the national u3a Matters magazine 5 times a year

New members - How to join
Option 1: Join online
Joining online is the quickest and easiest way to become a member of u3a in Bath. Our online system uses PayPal to process payments securely, but you don’t need a PayPal account, you can pay using your Credit or Debit card. You’ll receive a Welcome Email with your membership number which you should keep in a safe place - you may be asked to show it at meetings (on your phone or printed out).
How to pay by debit or credit card:
- Click on the Join Online button above. Complete the application form and click on the "Continue to payment options" button.
- If you did not select a box in the Gift Aid section you will be prompted to do so.
- At this point you have two payment options: 1) pay with your own PayPal account or 2) pay by Debit or Credit card.
- Select Debit or Credit Card and you will be prompted to enter your card details and contact details to complete the payment.
- If you select PayPal you will be prompted to sign in to your PayPal account and complete the payment.
- After the payment has been processed you will receive 2 confirmation emails: A confirmation of payment from PayPal, and a confirmation from u3a in Bath.

Option 2: Join by submitting an online application form
Submit the form online and pay by bank transfer (BACS) or by posting a cheque.
Option 3: Join by post or at a monthly meeting
If you would rather join by post and pay by cheque or by bank transfer, download and print the Membership Application Form.
Make cheques payable to: 'u3a in Bath' and send with the completed form to: The Membership Secretary, u3a in Bath, Suite 104, 3 Edgar Buildings, George Street, Bath BA1 2FJ
If paying by bank transfer, please quote your name and initials so we know who the payment has come from, and make payment to the following account:

Alternatively you can bring the completed application form to a monthly meeting and pay by cheque or debit card for contactless payment.
