Do you have an interest in Art History and Appreciation?
All of our group members take turns to talk about a favourite artist, art movement or work of art, which has been chosen and researched by them. By being involved, you will learn about art history.
We can give you guidance and help with research sources, handling images and making a presentation to the group. Your first presentation will be just 10 minutes on an item of art you would take with you to a desert island.
Our talks have included items from the Ice Age to 21st century, art from all over, including Spain, Flanders, Italy, America, Australia, France and the UK. Media included oils, watercolours, drawings, sculpture, architecture, tiles, miniatures, fine china and porcelain.
We meet monthly on Wednesday afternoons (usually the 2nd Wednesday) in Central Bath.
