We are a supportive group of recreational writers who enjoy creating and sharing stories, poems, descriptive pieces; they may be funny, moving, thought provoking.    We may have pet topics and styles but we are always willing to try something new.  

We meet every two weeks for two hours. Members volunteer to lead each meeting, but there is no compulsion to be in the chair.  We begin by reading out a piece prepared from prompts supplied at the end of the previous meeting. The prompt may be a first line or a subject or a painting or photograph.  We have a short discussion on each piece.  Then we have an activity dreamed up by whoever is leader for the day, usually a 10 minute task. We share these if we wish. The leader for the day then distributes prompts for the following meeting.

We meet on alternate Thursdays In the Jack Pugh room at Bath Scout Headquarters, Grove Street.  Subs are £15 per term to cover the room hire.  We welcome enquiries from Bath u3a members via the Enquiry link at the top of this page if you are interested in joining us.Non-members should contact the Groups Advisers for more information.
