When: On Thursdays 2:30 pm
3rd Thursday of the month
Venue: Member's Home

The Book Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 2.30pm in members houses.

The member who is hosting chooses a book which may be a fairly recent novel, a classic, biography or occasionally a selection of poetry.

Some of the books we have read this year are: House of Doors by Tan Twan Eng; I heard the Owl Call my Namely Margaret Craven and  The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver.

After the group have given their general responses to a book, we try to move in and discuss characters, plot, theme, style etc.

We finish with tea and biscuits and a chat.

We welcome enquiries from interested members, and you may join a waiting list if we are full at the time. If you'd like more information, Bath u3a members can contact us via the Enquiry link at the top of this page.

Non-members should contact the Groups Advisers for more information.
