Convenor:
When: On Mondays 10:30 am
3rd Monday of the month
Venue: Scout HQ

The Maths Group aims to accommodate members with a wide range of mathematical experience and confidence, and thus welcomes everyone with a general interest in mathematics.

We meet at 10:30 on 3rd Monday of each month, currently in the Jack Pugh meeting room at Bath Scouts HQ, 7 Grove Street, Bath BA2 6PJ

Our meetings begin by tackling mathematical problems and puzzles together. We try to find problems that are both thought-provoking and offer scope for generalisation, without needing too much specific mathematical knowledge.

Then a member of the group will introduce a topic that we will explore together.

Sometimes we may have a more formal presentation given by a group member or a guest speaker, or we may play a video or audio recording.
