We are a fairly advanced self-help class. Most of us have spent some time in the past living in a francophone country. Much of our time is spent conversing about recent events and experiences, but we usually also work on some sort of exercise in grammar, construction or idiom and read French text from newspapers or other sources. We have been meeting in cafés around Bath, recently having settled mainly for the Boathouse pub in Newbridge as this has a good car park, bus connection and spacious areas both outside and in.
